By accessing the Portal, you agree to use these resources responsibly and in a manner that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and value of the consortium.

Authorized Access and Use

Users must:

• Access the Portal only as authorized representatives of their school.
• Maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials.
• Use the Portal and its resources solely for legitimate school and professional purposes.
• Comply with all applicable security measures and access controls.

Users may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or functionality within the Portal.

Confidentiality and Use of Reports

INDEX reports and consortium data are intended for the internal use of participating schools.

Users may not:

• Share, distribute, or disclose confidential reports, consortium data, or benchmarking information without authorization.
• Use INDEX data or reports for commercial purposes.
• Share INDEX data or reports with third parties without the prior written consent of INDEX.

Information from INDEX reports may not be included in public-facing materials, including websites, admissions publications, marketing materials, press releases, or other external communications.

Limited use of report findings is permitted in communications distributed exclusively to the school community, including students, faculty, parents, alumni, and trustees.

References to INDEX data or reports must not identify, compare, rank, or imply criticism of other participating schools.

Listserv Participation

INDEX-sponsored listservs are intended to support professional collaboration and the exchange of ideas among member schools.

Users may not:

• Request or share future salary information.
• Post job openings.
• Promote non-INDEX events, products, or services.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

AI tools can be valuable for analysis and productivity when used responsibly.

Users should:

• Use only secure, enterprise-grade, or institutionally licensed AI platforms with appropriate data-protection safeguards.
• Refrain from uploading INDEX reports, raw data, screenshots, report excerpts, or identifiable member-school information into publicly available AI tools.
• Review and validate AI-generated content before relying on it for analysis, communication, or decision-making.

Compliance

We appreciate your commitment to protecting the confidentiality and integrity of INDEX data and reports. Failure to comply with this policy may result in a review of Portal access privileges and other appropriate actions to safeguard consortium information.
